Correlación estratigráfica entre los depósitos aluviales de los ríos Ter y Terri. Interpretación de su edad y de su relación con los depósitos carbonatados del Pía de Mata (Baix Empordá - Pía de l'Estany, Girona)

Abstract

We characterize the sedimentary sequences infilling the Baix Ter Plain, and the Ter and Terri rivers fluvial terraces. We also interpret the posible relationships between the deposits of the third terrace of the Terri river and the Pla de Mata carbonated sediments (Banyoles lacustrine basin). Both, interpreted relationships between alluvia/ and carbonate sediments and the eustatic curves data proposed by other autors, allow us to attribute the age for the fluvial terraces, and the sequences infilling the Baix Ter Plain
