Abstract

Como el título sugiere hay una estrecha relación entre la interpretación de los contenidos televisivos y el contexto familiar, el cual es, a su vez, dependiente de un marco más amplio, el contexto social. En este trabajo se sostiene que los individuos sentados frente al televisor están social y culturalmente situados. Las condiciones domésticas de recepción han puesto de relieve que el espacio familiar reproduce a escala micro las relaciones macro-sociales de poder.

As the title suggests, there is a narrow relation between the interpretation of the television contents and the family context, which is, at the same time, dependant on a larger framework, the social context. In this work, the author argues that the individuals sat in front of the television are socially and culturally located. The domestic conditions of reception have highlighted that the family space reproduces at a micro scale the macro-social relations of power.
