Reflexiones sobre la ciencia y el futuro

Abstract

El autor, ante los enormes avances científicos y técnicos, que abren la posibilidad incluso de modificar la propia evolución del ser humano, reflexiona sobre la urgente necesidad de plantear una enseñanza no tanto basada en la impartición de saberes como en la de capacitar para la adaptación al futuro y, sobre todo, para saber enfrentarse a todo tipo de manipulaciones. Corremos el peligro de ser transformados casi en robots, faltos de lo más específicamente humano: la intimidad y la libertad.

The author, in the presence of the huge scientific and technical advances, which open even the possibility of modifying the evolution itself of the human being, thinks about the urgent need to suggest a teaching based more on teaching how to adapt to the future and, mostly, knowing how to confront all kinds of manipulations than on the teaching of knowledge. We are running the risk of being transformed into robots, lacking in what is more specifically human: privacy and freedom.
