| en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The marriage of Philology and Mercury starts with a hymn to Hymenaeus, sung by the author, which causes the intervention of his son, because he was awakened. The reaction of the father did not seem to be well understood by the critics, even added to the text, in our opinion, this makes it more incomprehensible. According to our interpretation, the father replied to the son that he does not understand the meaning of his words, even though he has experienced the literal meaning of ἐγρσιμον (“bullseye effect”) that the words have caused in him. | |
