The beach-ria system of Oyambre (Cantabria) has been controlled during one year; in order to establish changes in morphodynamics. Twenty profiles have been surveyed every two months and the erosion-sedimentatlon rates have been mapped. Important changes could-be established foreach period. Erosion occurs mainly in the west side of the beach and deposit is concentrated towards the east in the ria outlet. The present ria dynamics is determined by two dykes that reduce the tidal wedge. A rip-rap wall built to protect the cliff on the west side enhances erosion on front of iten_US
