El tráfico ilegal de migrantes en los ordenamientos penales centroaméricanos

Abstract

El presente artículo se enfoca en los recientes cambios legislativos que se han realizado en las legislaciones penales de Centroamérica a fin de contener el fenómeno de la inmigración ilegal, en especial, la que se realiza hacia Estados Unidos. El autor considera que en este tema, el uso del Derecho penal debe ser mesurado, y únicamente, cuando se trata de organizaciones criminales que se dedican al tráfico ilegal de migrantes

This essay focuses on recent changes that have been made to criminal legislation in Central America to contain the phenomenon of illegal migration, in particular the one destined for the United Sta-tes of America. The author considers that in this issue, the use of criminal law must be measured and used solely in the case of criminal organizations engaged in smuggling of migrants
