¿Un nuevo modelo estructural centroamericano? : el reformismo neoliberal en América Latina y el cambio estructural en Costa Rica

Abstract

En este articulo se propone un modelo estructural para explicar el funcionamiento de los sistemas socioeconómicos centroamericanos, elaborado a partir de una abstracción del caso costarricense. La implementación en Costa Rica del modelo reformista de desarrollo, común a la mayoría de los países latinoamericanos, ha provocado un cambio estructural en este sistema socioeconómico, que se pone de manifiesto, sobre todo, en la modificación de las leyes o relaciones estructurales. Dicho cambio estructural ha hecho que el modelo primario- exportador doméstico-industrial, que servía para caracterizar la estructura socioeconómica de Costa Rica y de la mayoría de los países centroamericanos, pueda ser sustituido por otro nuevo. Nosotros aquí presentamos uno, el modelo multiexplotador, el cuál está por ver si caracteriza a los sistemas socioeconómicos centroamericanos. _________ ____________________________________In this paper we propose a structural model to explain the behaviour of Central American socioeco-nomic systems. This model has been done from an abstraction of Costa Rican case. The implementation of the reformist development model in Costa Rica, that is the same as most of Latin American countries have, has caused a structural change in this socioeconomic system. This can be observed mainly in the change of structural relationship or laws. This structural change has caused that the primary-exporter domestic-industrial model, which characterizes the socioeconomic structure of Costa Rica and most of Central American countries, can be replaced by a new one. Therefore we introduce the multi-exporter model in this paper. This model may characterizes most of Central American socioeconomic systems.
