La justicia y las conductas delictivas en Niebla y su tierra (1700-1750)

Abstract

La utilización de las fuentes judiciales para el estudio de la llamada historia sociocultural constituye la base del presente trabajo. Para ello, se ha analizado, por un lado, la documentación judicial depositada en el Archivo Municipal de Niebla y sus posibilidades para la investigación histórica; por otro lado, la organización de la justicia en el Condado de Niebla durante el Antiguo Régimen; por último, el análisis de los autos criminales que se generaron en la primera mitad del siglo XVIII en el Condado de Niebla, permiten un acercamiento a temas tan diversos como el sentido del honor, la mujer, la cultura, el matrimonio e, incluso, estudios sobre la vida cotidiana y privada.________________________________The use of judicial sources in the study of the so-called "Sociocultural History" constitutes the basis of this research, which includes three different parts of analysis. On the one hand, the juridical documentation deposited in the Local Archives of Niebla and its possibilities for a historical investigation. On the other hand, the organisation of justice in the county of Niebla during the Ancient Regime. And, finally, the dissection of criminal sentences that arose in the first half of 18th century in Niebla. These three issues allow an approach towards so different aspects such as the feeling of honour, genre, culture, marriage, and, even, studies on private and everyday life.
