Los Exigua Initia de Roma. Construcción del pasado a fines de la Republica

Abstract

La tradición sobre los primeros pobladores de la Ciudad habló de colonos griegos y en particular, de los sucesores de los fugitivos de Troya, y de poblaciones autóctonas, los aborígenes, las poblaciones que ya estaban instaladas en el Lacio. Versiones que en algún momento en esta tradición se fusionan. Se crea así la imagen de una Roma abierta, de población mixta y heterogénea desde el principio, que la hizo la más fuerte y poderosa de su tiempo. Pero esta imagen sólo era una retroproyección de la Roma que habitaban los historiadores que construyeron el relato de su pasado más antiguo, a partir de su presente.

Versions that at some point in this tradition merge.
