Descubrimiento de Arístocystites metroi Parsley y Prokop, 1990 (Echinodermata, Diploporita) en el Ordovícico medio centroibérico (España)

Abstract

The first record outside Bohemia of the recumbent diploporid Aristocystites metroi is presented. It consists of a remarkable specimen from the Dobrotivian shales of CaIzada c/e Calatrava (Central Iberian Zone). The Spanish occurrence of the species is markedly older (Dobrotivian: Middle Ordovician) than in Bohemia (Zahoranlan and Kosovian; Upper Ordovician). Our specimen derives also from much shallower environments with respect to the type material
