Abstract

Devonian-Carboniferous boundary at the Southwestern Portuguese Domain (South Portuguese Zone) is characterized by a shallowing detrital sequence which caps the Tercenas Formation. Sedimentation ocurred in a littoral setting with, at least, two different depositionsI environments: a wave dominated nearshore, lineal in morphology, and a wave/tidal dominated coast with a more complex morphology (i. e. a bay or a estuary)
