Estratigrafía secuencial de las sucesiones Estefanienses del sector septentrional de Picos de Europa (Asturias)

Abstract

The Stephanian successions croppingbut in the Gamonedo-Cabrales-Panes sector (Northern part of Picos de Europa Region) where deposited in tectonic active basins developed during the southward trhusting and transport of the Picos the Europa Allocthonous unit. These successions had been subdivided in eleven sequences that can be grouped in two sequence sets. Sequences equals to third and fourth order cycles and sequence sets represent second order ones. A higher order cyclicity is present In some sequences. The main characters and the origin of the different types of cyclicity observed is discussed
