Abstract

A beach monitoring program was carried out in July 2003 in the Mediterranean littoral between Fnideq and M'diq, (NE of Morocco). Beaches present a great range in width and small slope variations. In fact, main littoral drift flows from South to North, giving raise to larger beaches updrift oi harbours or small headlands. Erosion takes place downdrift. surf scaling parameter, surf similarity index and dean Number recorded along the littoral, stressed out the reflective state of all studied beaches, characterized by plunging breakers
