dc.description.abstractThe literary inclinations of Casiano de Prado (1797-1866), one of the outstanding Spanish mining engineers and geologists of the period, are shown in this paper. Prado was a friend and devotee of some of the most celebrated poets of the. beginning of the aentury and he also shows a special taste for poetry. In the thirties he collaborates in several,periodicals with literary essays and political articles. A wilful linguistic attention can be also seen in his scientific publicationsen_US
