La rehabilitación de las aparchai en época imperial

Abstract

El tema que se va a tratar en este artículo es la rehabilitación de unos rituales que, aún habiendo sido utilizados como símbolo de sometimiento de las poblaciones griegas orientales y occidentales bajo la polis ateniense, van a ser restaurados bajo el gobierno del emperador Adriano. Esta rehabilitación traerá consigo una nueva definición de lo que ellos significan puesto que se van a definir como el elemento ritualítico unificador de la nueva comunidad helena gestada en torno al siglo II d.C.

This article addresses the restoration of the aparchai rituals which, despite having previously been the symbol of subjection of the east Greek and west Greek population under the Athenian polis, were restored under the rule of emperor Hadrian. The analysis of this restoration will allow for a new definition of such ritual elements as the unifiying factor for the new hellenic community which took form around the second century AD.
