dc.description.abstractThe aim of this paper is propose an improved model based on the technique of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to measure hotel efficiency. For that purpose, an extensive literature review has been carried out, focused mainly on empirical research. As a result, the proposed model incorporates some new operational variables widely accepted within the sector, like the REVPAR indicator, and allows to adapt the efficiency analysis to the current economic conditions and industry circumstances.en_US
dc.description.abstractLa finalidad de documento es proponer un modelo basado en la técnica de Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) para medir la eficiencia de los hoteles. Para este propósito, una extensa revisión literaria ha sido llevada a cabo, centrándose principalmente en la investigación empírica. Como resultado, el modelo propuesto incorpora algunas nuevas variables operacionales extensamente aceptadas en el sector, como el indicador e REVPAR, y permite adaptar el análisis de eficiencia a las condiciones económicas y circunstancias de la industria actuales.
