Abstract
La Ley Orgánica de Educación, aprobada recientemente por el Parlamento Español,
ofrece una buena oportunidad para conseguir que los alumnos de Educación Primaria
y Secundaria se formen como espectadores críticos de los medios audiovisuales en
general y de la televisión en particular. Esta ley presenta como novedad importante la
introducción de una nueva asignatura: «Educación para la Ciudadanía». El Real
Decreto que especifica los contenidos de la asignatura da amplia cabida a la consecución
de ese propósito
