Abstract

El presente documento tiene como propósito realizar un análisis del pensamiento surgido en el denominado Siglo de las luces y la manera en la cual impactó en diversas esferas de la vida pública, siendo la materia penal una de las más importantes. En este sentido, se abordarán dos documentos em-blemáticos del periodo: la Declaración de los Derechos del Hombre y del Ciudadano de 1789 y el Código Penal de 1791

The purpose of this document is to carry out an analysis of the ideas that emerged in the so-ca-lled Century of Lights and the way in which it impacted on various spheres of public life, criminal matters being one of the most important. In this sense, two emblematic documents of the period will be addressed: the Declaration of the Rights of Man and the Citizen of 1789 and the Penal Code of 1791
