AB Hoy en día la atención a un parto de nalgas enel medio extrahospitalario por vía vaginal puede serun proceso frecuente ocasionado por el cambio en laliteratura científica, que favorece la libre evolucióndel parto de una presentación podálica frente a la literaturaanterior donde se llevaba a cabo la cesáreaprogramada en la semana 37 de gestación, evitandola libre evolución del mismo. Además, entre losdatos estadísticos consultados en el INE (InstitutoNacional de Estadística) existe un incremento de partosprematuros fuera del hospital que aumenta que lapresentación de nalgas sea más frecuente, entre las25-32 semanas entorno a un 42%. Por lo tanto, el objetivode este manuscrito fue instruir a los profesionalessanitarios de los servicios de urgencias extrahospitalariaante una situación de parto inminente enpresentación podálica. Este tipo de formación consistiríaen mantener una actitud expectante duranteel periodo expulsivo hasta que el ángulo inferior dela escápula del recién nacido sea visible, seguido dela ayuda manual desprendiendo los hombros mientrasse extrae con suavidad y lentitud la cabeza fetal.
AB Nowadays, care for a breech delivery in the outof-hospital environment through the vaginal routecan be a frequent process caused by the change inthe scientific literature favoring the free evolutionof the delivery of a breech presentation comparedto the previous literature where the Caesarean sectionscheduled at week 37 of gestation, avoidingits free evolution. Furthermore, among the statisticaldata consulted at the INE (Instituto Nacional deEstadística), there is an increase in preterm deliveriesoutside the hospital, which increases the presentationof buttocks more frequently, between 25-32 weeks, around 42%. Therefore, the objective ofthis manuscript was to instruct the health professionalsof the out-of-hospital emergency services in theevent of imminent delivery in breech presentation.This type of training would consist of maintainingan expectant attitude during the expulsion period untilthe lower angle of the newborn’s scapula is visible,followed by manual assistance by detaching theshoulders while gently and slowly removing the fetalhead.
