AB Over the last decade, the coastal city of Da Nang, Vietnam hasexperienced a considerable rate of growth in its domestic andinternational tourist visitation. Yet, little is known about how tomanage this growth into appropriate sustainable tourism fordevelopment. To better understand a way forward, 16 tourismstakeholders from the public and private sectors in Da Nang wereinterviewed. Specifically, questions inquired about tourism assetsand sustainability. The findings in this research help to establishbaseline perceptions of tourism stakeholders in Da Nang andrepresent a step forward in the city’s interest in sustainable tourismfor development
AB Durante la última década, la ciudad costera de Da Nang, Vietnam, ha experimentado un considerable aumento de su turismo domestico e internacional. Aun así, poco se conoce sobre como manjar este crecimiento para un apropiado desarrollo de un turismo sostenible. Para entender mejor el camino a seguir, 16 accionistas turísticos de sectores públicos y privados en Da Nang fueron entrevistados. Específicamente, las preguntas trataban sobre los activos turístico y la sostenibilidad. Los hallazgos de esta investigación ayudaron a establecer las bases de la percepción de los accionistas del turismo en Da Nang y representa un paso hacia adelante en el interés de la ciudad por el desarrollo del turismo sostenible.
