T1 La participación de las familias inmigrantes en la escuela : necesidades de orientación y formación

AB En el presente artículo se analizan las necesidades de orientación y formación que los padres y las madres inmigrantes suelen presentar a la hora de participar en los centros educativos en los que están escolarizados sus hijos e hijas. En primer lugar, se hace hincapié en la importancia de la colaboración de las familias inmigrantes, se comentan las principales investigaciones que se centran en este tema de estudio y se resume el tipo y nivel de participación escolar que, en general, asumen los padres y madres inmigrantes. Igualmente, se examina el conocimiento que estas familias suelen tener sobre la cultura escolar de acogida y el funcionamiento y organización de los centros educativos españoles, enfatizándose las necesidades de orientación más importantes que estos padres y madres presentan al respecto.________________________________The present article explore the necessity of formation and orientation of the immigrant parents that usuallyarises when they participate in the educative centers in which their children are involved. First, theimportance of immigrant families cooperation is emphasized, then main investigations on this subject arecommented and it is summarized the type and level of scholastic participation than, in general, assume theimmigrant parents. Also, the knowledge that these families usually have on the scholastic culture and theoperation and organization of the Spanish educative centers is observed, emphasizing the more importantnecessities of orientation that these parents show on the matter.
