AB En este trabajo se estudia la producción demetales en el distrito minero del suroeste de laPenínsula Ibérica (Faja Piritica Ibérica). Estedistrito lo forman más de 85 minas y llegó aalcanzar cotas industriales de producción de plata ycobre en época imperial. En una de sus minas másimportantes, la de Vipasca (Aljustrel, Portugal),se descubrieron dos placas de bronce en las que seregula el trabajo y la vida en la mina en la segundamitad del siglo I y primera mitad del siglo II d.C. Alo largo de este trabajo esbozaremos la producciónmetálica en estas minas a partir de las de Riotinto,Tharsis y Aljustrel, y estudiaremos la evolución desu gestión por el patrimonio del emperador hastaque cristalizó en el modelo que nos muestran losbronces de Aljustrel en tiempos del principado deAdriano
AB In this work we study the history of metalsproduction at the mining district of the IberianPyrite Belt, in the southwest of the IberianPeninsula. This district contains more than 85mines that reached industrial levels of silver andcopper in roman imperial era. In one of its mostimportant mines, the Vipasca mine (Aljustrel,Portugal), two bronze plaques were discovered.They regulate work and life in the mine in thesecond half of the first century and the first halfof the second century AD. Throughout this workwill outline the production in this district from themines of Riotinto, Tharsis and Aljustrel, and willstudy the evolution of their management by theemperor’s state until it chystallized in the modelshown by the bronzes of Aljustrel in Hadrian’stime
