AB Aularia interviews Damia Mendoza Zambrano, a poet and a researcher professor. Additionally, she is Doctor of Communication, in the field of Educomunication and Media Alphabetization from the University of Huelva, and Master’s degree in Communication and Audiovisual Education UNIA/UHU (Spain). Moreover, she is also a specialist in Curriculum Design from Competences (Chile-Ecuador), and a holder of a diploma in Editorial Design and Photography from the Secondary School of Journalism José Martí (Cube). And lastly, she is a graduate in Public Relations and Communication (UTE-Ecuador). Regarding her professional career, Damia Mendoza Zambrano has worked in the Subjects of Oral and Writing Expressions in the University UTE and UCE of Ecuador; and as a Visiting Professor in the University Santiago of Cali-Colombia, and she instituted the Subject Media Citizens in virtual format for three periods. In Uleam-Ecuador she practises Subjects of Language and Communication, Learning of the Human Communication, Introduction to Linguistics and Critical Thinking guiding the media. Furthermore, her scientific articles are index-linked in digital magazines, and she quotes among her poetic creations: Hojas de mi noche larga (Canada, 2012) (Sheets of my long night); Tras los cristales de mi mar, 2006 (Behind the crystals of my sea); Pentagrama musical de la misma arcilla, Jayac (Musical Stave from the same clay); Guitarra y poesía para enamorar (Oquendo) (Guitarre and poetry to win someone’s heart). The poetry of Damia can be felt (New York). She was invited as a representative of Ecuador to international festivals of Taiwan, Mexico, Peru, Spain, Cube, Canada, Argentine, E.E.U.U, Morocco, among others, in which she included various anthologies. Her poetry is translated to Italian, English, and French.
