T1 Turismo y patrimonio inmaterial, una alianza obscena

AB El pensamiento altermundista, encabezadopor la UNESCO indica que el “patrimonioinmaterial” es un logro para eldesarrollo de los pueblos, y que como taldebe ser explotado. El rechazo del turismode masas, en paralelo, ha ido en aumentoen la última década en numerosos lugares.Para lograr la “sostenibilidad”, y evitar depaso la turismofobia, habría que acercarlas prácticas turísticas con la explotacióndel patrimonio inmaterial. El autor, sinembargo, considera que en dicha ecuaciónexiste una trampa conceptual, lo que llamauna “alianza obscena”, ya que su razón deser es productivista más que cultural. AB The alter-globalist thought, headedby UNESCO, indicates that “intangibleheritage” is an achievement for thedevelopment of the peoples, and that assuch it must be exploited. The rejectionof mass tourism, in parallel, has beenincreasing in the last decade in manyplaces. In order to achieve “sustainability”,and to avoid tourism phobia, tourismpractices should be brought closer tothe exploitation of intangible heritage.The author, however, considers that inthis equation there is a conceptual trap,which he calls an “obscene alliance”,since its raison to be is productivist ratherthan cultural. For him, from the criticalanthropology, this alliance is not possiblewithout violating the peoples who exercisetheir arts and their rites
