RT Journal Article T1 Análisis de los contenidos de tierras raras en el acuífero aluvial del río Guadiamar T1 Analysis of rare earth element contents in the Guadiamar river alluvial aquifer A1 Olías Álvarez, Manuel A1 Cerón García, Juan Carlos A1 Rosa Díaz, Jesús de la A1 Fernández, I. AB In this study the contents and normalized patterns of rare earth elements (REE) in the alluvial aquifer of theGuadiamar river are analyzed. The maximum concentrations appear next to the Aznalcóllar mining zone,in an area with low pH values and high concentrations of sulfates and trace metals (Cd, Cu, Co, Ni, Pb andZn). The high REE contents are relation to the decrease of surface adsorption processes in acid conditions. The normalized patterns with respect to NASC (North American Shale Composite; Taylos and McLennan,1985) of most contaminated wells show an enrichment in the middle rare earth elements (MREE) over thelight (LREE) and heavy ones (HREE), the typical one of acid waters PB Sociedad Geológica de España YR 2004 FD 2004 LK http://hdl.handle.net/10272/8815 UL http://hdl.handle.net/10272/8815 LA spa DS Repositorio Institucional de la Universidad de Huelva RD 30 may 2026
