AB This article investigates the origins of twohumanistic conjectures in Catullus. One ispapillae at 55.17, which is first attestedin Palladio Fosco’s commentary of 1496.However, Palladio was a plagiarist; andboth the conjectural phrase lacteolae ...papillae and the transmitted reading lacteolae... puellae are echoed in poems byGioviano Pontano that were written before1496. The second conjecture that is studiedhere is soli at 61.140. This has been attributedto the Codex Memmianus (Parisinuslat. 8233) of 1465, where it does not appear.Its earliest attestation may be once again inPalladio’s commentary of 1496. The authorof this conjecture remains unknown.

AB Este artículo estudia los orígenes de las dos hipótesis humanísticas en Catulo. Una es papillae at 55.17, que fue confirmada por primera vez en el comentario de 1496 de Palladio Fosco. Sin embargo, Palladio era un plagiador, y ambas hipótesis lacteolae ... papillae, y la lectura transmitida lacteolae ... puellae son repetidas en poemas de Giovano Pontano, los cuales fueron escritos antes de 1496. La segunda hipótesis que se examina es soli at 61.140. Ha sido atribuida al códice Memmianus (Parisinus lat. 8233) de 1465, donde no aparece. Su declaración más temprana puede que fuese en el comentario de Palladio de 1496. El autor de esta hipótesis es desconocido.
