AB En este trabajo se traza un panorama general sobre los problemas que presenta la traducción del De casibus virorumillustrium de Boccaccio en la España del siglo XV, cuyos testimonios conservados (manuscritos e incunable) soncopias de un arquetipo perdido. Se realiza un sintético estado de la cuestión para explicar la problemática textualy se examinan las innovaciones que presenta el incunable.
AB This paper presents an overview of the issues that arise from the translation of Giovanni Boccaccio's De casibusvirorum illustrium during the 15th century in Spain. The testimonies that are preserved, several manuscripts and anearly printed edition, are the only known copies of a lost archetype. The state of the matter presented in this studyexplains the involved textual problems and the innovations presented by the printed matter are examined.
