AB La crisis financiera representa el más grave colapso económico surgidodesde la Gran Depresión de los años 30. Originalmente denominada crisissubprime, en referencia a los problemas producidos en la financiación delmercado inmobiliario estadounidense, acabó por transformarse en unacrisis sistémica de carácter global. A pesar de ser catalogada como crisisfinanciera, representa más que eso. No hay crisis que no venga motivada pordesajustes cometidos en el pasado; pero ¿cuáles han sido las desviacionesque condujeron a una crisis financiera de estas proporciones? Las respuestasno son simples, a falta de un análisis más profundo. En este sentido, se realizaun análisis sistemático de la génesis de la crisis así como una revisión crítica delos factores determinantes; sugiriendo, desde un punto de vista metodológico,la pertinencia de diferenciar entre los factores inmediatos y los factoresestructurales que han conducido a la manifestación de la crisis global actual.
AB The international global crisis represents the worst economic collapsesince The Great Depression of the 1930s. Initially called the subprime crisis,in reference to the problems occurred in the US mortgage market, it becamea systemic global crisis. Although it has become known as a financial crisis, itsurely goes beyond that. There is no financial crisis that is not motivated bydisturbances happened in the past. And which were the misalignments thatallowed a global crisis of these proportions? The answers are not obviouslysimple which calls for a deeper analysis of it. Thus, this paper focuses on asystemic analysis of the genesis of the crisis and it makes a critical reviewof its determinant factors evaluating, from a methodological perspective, theimmediate and structural causes that triggered the emergence of the currentglobal crisis
