AB This paper provides a brief chronologicaloverview of the oldest pottery found in the deepestanthropogenic stratum thus far investigated atthe ancient city of Huelva, along with the oldestceramics related to vineyards of the neighbouringagricultural countryside at La Orden-Seminario. Italso compiles ten AMS radiocarbon dates of diverseorganic materials of the referred stratum carriedout by four different labs. The main conclusion ofthe study is that the Phoenicians introduced grapecultivation in the Iberian Peninsula preferably inthe second half of the 10th century BC
AB Este artículo presenta una breve revisióncronológica de las más antiguas cerámicasprocedentes del primer estrato con actividadantrópica investigado hasta la fecha en la antiguaciudad de Huelva, así como en relación con loscultivos de viñedos de la vecina área agrícola de LaOrden-Seminario. También recopila 10 datacionesradiocarbónicas (AMS) de diversas muestrasorgánicas del citado estrato obtenidas por cuatrolaboratorios diferentes. La conclusión más relevantedel estudio es que los fenicios introdujeron el cultivode la uva en la Península Ibérica preferentementeen la segunda mitad del siglo X a.C
