RT Journal Article T1 Una experiencia de aprendizaje para madres y padres de alumnos inmigrantes A1 Bueno Abad, José Ramón A1 Pérez Cosín, José Vicente A1 Belda Ibáñez, José Francisco AB Este trabajo presenta el diseño de un proyecto de investigación que está siendo desarrollado por la Unidad de Investigación de Psicología Social de la Universitat de Valéncia y el Ayuntamiento de Quart de Poblet, enmarcado en el programa europeo Regionet Integra, y cuyo objetivo es diseñar un Programa de itinerarios formativos para madres y padres de alumnos inmigrantes que facilite el proceso de escolarización de los alumnos y a la vez promueva la integración social de sus padres a través de la participación en el sistema educativo. AB The foreign immigration phenomena is a recent fact in the Spanish State. The presenceof foreign immigrant residents – regular or irregular – has vertiginously incrementedfundamentally during the last decade of the 20thCentury throughout the whole country.According to the Department of Interior data, these were 360.655 foreigners in 1991, andthe number ascended in 2001 to 1.200.000 foreign residents.Population movement is presented as a property of 21stcentury society, therefore thesocial integration of foreign immigrants has become one of the main challenges for thepresent society.Attending to the complexity of the Phenomena and to the need to respond to de socialproblems that it entails, an investigation process has been launched, integrated in the RegionetIntegra European Program, whose objective is to design a formation itinerary programfor parents of immigrant students which allows the students’ educative integration andsimultaneously promotes the social integration of their parents by means of participationin the educative system.For the development of this we will use qualitative and qualitative methodologiescomplementarily, as well as the analysis of secondary information sources. The presentcommunicate shows the basic situation data and the methodological proposals to allow theparticipation and integration of foreign immigrants in the scholastic institution.
