AB El presente artículo revisa la manera enque Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial ha sidotratado en la legislación española a partir dela Convención de la UNESCO del año 2003.Plantea la necesidad de considerar como unaunidad las dimensiones materiales y las inmaterialesen cualquier manifestación de la cultura,ya que ambos planos pierden sentido cuandoson tratados por separado. En la mayoría delos casos hasta la actualidad, se han estudiadocon metodologías diferentes, se han protegidocon normas diferentes y se han planificado conpolíticas diferentes. Con el propósito de reconocerla inherente unidad entre la dimensiónmaterial y la inmaterial, se realiza un análisisde cómo ambos se manifiestan en los ritualesfestivos y en el ámbito de la gastronomía
AB This article reviews the way in which IntangibleCultural Heritage has been addressedwithin the Spanish legislation since the 2003UNESCO Convention. It raises the need toconsider the tangible and intangible dimensionsof any manifestation of culture as a unit,since both aspects lose meaning when theyare treated separately. In most cases until now,they have been studied following differentmethodologies, protected with different standardsand planned with different policies. Inorder to recognize the inherent unity betweenthe tangible and intangible dimensions, ananalysis is made of how both appear in festiverituals and in the field of gastronomy
