RT Journal Article T1 La zona de cizalla de Campillo: accidente tectónico a escala continental en el suroeste del Macizo Ibérico T1 Campillo shear zone: continental tectonic structure in the southweast of the Iberian Massif A1 Eguiluz, Luis A1 Apalategui, Octavio A1 Carracedo Sánchez, Manuel A1 Sarrionandia Eguidazu, Fernando AB We describe the main features of the Campillo shear zone, a band of intense deformation made of myloniticto ultramylonitic rocks bearing a vertical foliation and subhorizontal stretching lineations. The shear zoneis more than 2 km thick and extends along more than 100 km representing one of the largest tectonicstructures of the Ossa-Morena Zone, comparable to the Badajoz-Córdoba Blastomylonitic Belt. Its longlastingactivity and influence on the paleogeography and stratigraphy of a number of sedimentary sequencesallow to consider the Campillo shear zone as an exceptional example of a continental-scale rectilinearhigh-angle fault zone within the Variscan orogen PB Sociedad Geológica de España YR 2004 FD 2004 LK http://hdl.handle.net/10272/8808 UL http://hdl.handle.net/10272/8808 LA spa DS Repositorio Institucional de la Universidad de Huelva RD 31 may 2026
