AB El artículo analiza la emigración española a México entre 2008 y 2014, con los objetivos de definir elperfil del nuevo emigrante español a México, conocer las causas de su emigración, detectar losproblemas iniciales de su proceso migratorio, identificar las condiciones de su situación actual yconocer sus expectativas de futuro. Para ello se ha utilizado una estrategia metodológica mixta,cuantitativa y cualitativa, combinando la investigación de primer y segundo orden. Hemos concluidoque estos emigrantes son jóvenes altamente cualificados, expulsados de España por la crisis y atraídosa México por las oportunidades de adquirir experiencia laboral, que han encontrado una red migratoriaformada por antiguos emigrantes españoles y que están ocupando empleos que dejan vacantesprofesionales mexicanos emigrados; no han encontrado especiales dificultades en su procesomigratorio, se encuentran bastante satisfechos con su experiencia y entre sus expectativas predominala idea de quedarse en México o de reemigrar.
AB The article analyzes the Spanish emigration to Mexico between 2008 and 2014, with the proposal ofdefining the profile of the new Spanish emigrants to Mexico, knowing the causes of their migration,identifying initial problems of migration process, identifying the conditions of their current situationand meeting their future expectations. We use a mixed quantitative and qualitative methodological strategy, combining first and second order research. We have concluded that these emigrants arehighly skilled young people, expelled from Spain by the crisis and attracted to Mexico by theopportunities to gain work experience; they found a migratory network of ancient Spanish emigrantsand occupy vacant jobs that Mexican professional emigrants leave; they have not encountered anyparticular difficulties in their migration process, are satisfied with their experience and the ideas ofstaying in Mexico or re-emigrating predominates between their expectations.
