RT Journal Article T1 Estudio morfométrico comparativo de la escápula y húmero de ciervo (Cervus elaphus) y reno (Rangifer tarandus) del Pleistoceno Superior T1 Comparative morphometrical study of scapula and humerus between red deer (Cervus elaphus) and reindeer(Rangifer tarandus) from Upper Pleistocene A1 Castaños, Jone A1 Castaños, Pedro A1 Murelaga, Xabier A1 Alonso Olazabal, Ainhoa A1 Ortega, Luis Ángel A1 Zuluaga, María Cruz A1 Sáez de Lafuente, Xabier AB The aim of this paper is to offer a comparative morphometric study of scapula and humerus betweenred deer (Cervus elaphus) and reindeer (Rangifer tarandus). Both species show a similar morphology butwith small differences represented by a metric ratio. In the scapula, the most relevant is the one thatrelates the smallest length of Collum (LmC) with the greatest length of the glenoid process (LMP). In thehumerus, the index with a discriminator value is less clear. Anatomic features of both bones are valid fortaxonomic determination YR 2009 FD 2009 LK http://hdl.handle.net/10272/7966 UL http://hdl.handle.net/10272/7966 LA spa DS Repositorio Institucional de la Universidad de Huelva RD 31 may 2026
