T1 Technopolitics movements in Latin America. Comparison of #Yosoy123 and chilean student

AB En este trabajo se realiza la comparación de dos movimientossociales latinoamericanos: el Movimiento Estudiantil Chileno (2011) y elmovimiento #YoSoy132 en México. El estudio de los dos movimientos intentadescifrar las características de éstos, sus diferencias y similitudes.Se compara con la intención de poder observar sus particularidades. Loscasos los estudiamos, primero desde una mirada histórica-descriptiva; segundo,analizamos la estructura, la forma de organización y la toma de decisiones;tercero, revisamos las estrategias de movilización y acción política;cuarto, indagamos las estrategias de comunicación; y, quinto, revisamoslos alcances y posibles éxitos de los dos movimientos estudiados. Para eldesarrollo de estas variables, se realizaron entrevistas semi-estructuradas aparticipantes de los movimientos, lo cual nos permitió reflejar la mirada delactor en su complejidad social
AB In this paper the comparison of two Latin American socialmovements is made: the Chilean Student Movement (2011) and the #YoSoy132 movement in Mexico. The study of the two movements tries todecipher the characteristics of these, their differences and similarities. Itcompares with the intention of being able to observe its particularities. Thecases are studied, first from a historical-descriptive view; second, we analyzethe structure, the form of organization and the decision making; Third, wereview strategies for mobilization and political action; fourth, we investigatecommunication strategies; and, fifth, we review the scope and possible successes of the two movements studied. For the development of thesevariables, semi-structured interviewswere carried out with participants ofthe movements, which allowed us toreflect the actor’s perspective on hissocial complexity
