abstract = {An angular unconformity in the Upper Albian siliciclastic series of Karrantza (Bizkaia), northern Spain, is highlighted. The unconformity occurs at the inflatum/dispar. ammonite Zones boundary. Tidal channel sandstones and mudstones are overlain by tidal sheet sandstones and conglomeratic sandstones. This episode is correlated with coeval tectonic expressions: compression, diapir extrusion, block tilting forced regressions and overall erosion along the Basque-Cantabrian Basin},
