AB El presente artículo narra el origen del Tribunal de Bruselas sobre Irak, constituidoen Abril de 2004 con el objetivo de denunciar la política imperialista norteamericana,y en particular la decisión ilegal e ilegítima de emprender la guerra contra Irak,intelectualmente respaldada por el Project for the New American Century (Proyecto parael nuevo siglo americano), un grupo de pensamiento convencido de que los Estados Unidostienen que asumir hasta sus últimas consecuencias el hecho de ser la única superpotenciamundial, a la que le corresponde prever las crisis y responder a las amenazas antes de quese produzcan. Houtart detalla las principales conclusiones del Tribunal de Bruselas, todasellas derivadas de los citados planteamientos ideológicos.
AB This essay tells the origin of the Brussells Tribunal (April 2004), constitutedwith the aim to criticize the Northamerican imperialist policy, particularly the decisionto start the war against Irak. Houtart underlines the relevance of the Project for the NewAmerican Century, a group based on the idea that United States has to act as a leaderanswering the dangers befores it may produce. The author precises the main conclusionsof the Brussells Tribunal, all of them in relation with the consequences of the new Paxamericana
