AB Este artículo presenta los resultados de un estudio sobre las tradiciones de enseñanza en cuatropaíses europeos: Bélgica (Flandes), Inglaterra, Hungría y España. Se trata de un estudio a pequeñaescala en el que se emplean métodos cuantitativos y cualitativos, y que, en lugar de pretender obtenergeneralizaciones, está orientado a arrojar alguna luz que posibilite la mejora de la enseñanza y elaprendizaje de las matemáticas. Establece comparaciones con los resultados de los test TIMSS y PISAy extrae alguna conclusión para la formación inicial de maestros y profesores de matemáticas.Extraemos de éste los resultados relativos a los datos cuantitativos y nos centramos en el focomatemático.Abstract
AB This paper shows the results from a study on the teaching traditions in tour European countries:Flemish Belgium, England, Hungary, and Spain. It is a small-scale study, which deals with themathematical focus and that applies quantitative methods. Instead of being aimed at generalising, thisstudy tries to contribute some insights in order to improve mathematics teaching and learning. Itestablishes some comparisons with the results from TIMSS and PISA tests, and arrives to someconclusion concerning initial mathematics primary and secondary teacher education.
