AB Hablar de terrorismo en la actualidad nos obliga a buscar sus raíces. Su avance en lassociedades modernas lo ha convertido en uno de los principales problemas para la seguridad públicainternacional. La búsqueda de un concepto de terrorismo ha centrado los esfuerzos de losorganismos internacionales. Tanto es así que, hemos podido asistir al nacimiento de un tipo deterrorismo desconocido hasta el momento, identificado con ideologías o religiones, hablamos entérminos generales de terrorismo religioso. Por ello, debemos hablar a la vez de terrorismo religiosoy libertad religiosa para encontrar su fundamento y, por tanto, buscar los mecanismos de prevencióny lucha contra el mismo
AB Talking about terrorism today forces us to look for its roots. Its advance in modernsocieties has made it one of the main problems for international public security. The search for aconcept of terrorism has focused the efforts of international organizations. So much so, that we havewitnessed the birth of a type of terrorism unknown until now, identified with ideologies or religions,we speak in general terms of religious terrorism. We must therefore talk about both religiousterrorism and religious freedom in order to find its basis and, therefore, seek mechanisms to preventand combat it
