RT Journal Article T1 Practical Design of a Load Compensation Active Conditioner A1 Prieto Thomas, Jaime A1 Salmerón Revuelta, Patricio A1 Sánchez Herrera, María Reyes AB This paper presents the obtained experimentalresults with a single-phase experimental prototype of a LoadCompensation Active Conditioner, sLCAC. The sLCAC iscomposed by a series – parallel combination of active powerfilters, and its main objective is the global conditioning of aload against harmonic distortion. On the one hand, to isolate theload voltage vL from the harmonics in the supply voltage vS, aswell as to regulate it to the nominal value. On the other hand, toimprove the supply current iS, compensating the harmonic andreactive components of the load current iL. An experimentalprototype has been implemented, and the obtained results arepresented to support the performance of the proposed design.
