T1 Evolución de pilas de astilla forestal bajo dos coberturas diferentes al aire libre : experiencia en Alp (Gerona)

AB Para el uso de biomasa de origen forestal en calderasautomáticas es necesario su astillado y unosrequerimientos mínimos que permitan rendir sumáximo energético y sin problemas en los depósitosde combustible.El material astillado en esta experiencia se almacenóformando dos pilas, una cubierta con material textiltranspirable y otra con papel protector. Suconservación fue adecuada, mostrando la pilacubierta con material textil evidencias de secado. Lapila cubierta con papel no lo hizo de la mismamanera, acumulando humedad en la coronación dela pila. La temperatura interna ha sido más elevadabajo la cobertura de papel que bajo la textil,posiblemente debido a procesos microbianosfavorecidos por el mayor contenido en humedad.____________________________________The use of forest biomass for energy in automaticboilers requires the material to be chipped.Therefore, the chipped material needs to accomplishsome minimum requirements to yield maximumenergy content and to have absence of problemswhen feeding the burners.The chipped material of this experience was storedin two piles. One pile was covered with a protectionfabric which allows respiration and the other pilewith a protective paper. Preservation of piles wasadequate, and the chip pile under protection fabricshowed evidence of a drying process. Chip pileunder paper dried less, and accumulated moisture onthe top of the pile. Furthermore, it had highertemperature than under the fabric, possibly due tomicrobial activity which develops better with highmoisture content.
