AB Desde que en 1977 se legalizaran los juegos de azar en España son muchas las voces que atestiguan queéstos se han convertido en un grave problema que, cada vez afecta a un mayor número de personas. Por tanto,teniendo como marco de referencia esta afirmación, esta tesis plantea ahondar desde la perspectiva sociológicaen el estudio y análisis de lo que se conoce como adicciones sociales y más concretamente el juego patológico.Para ello, estableceremos en primer lugar un marco teórico conceptual desde el que poder comprender yreflexionar y así descubrir el porqué de la existencia de esta patología social, teniendo como referenciacontextual las adicciones sociales. Del mismo modo, se estudiarán y analizarán aspectos insuficientementeexplorados y analizados como son el tema de familia y el movimiento asociativo, así como la relación que seestablece entre ambos puesto que, la génesis y desarrollo del asociacionismo en este sector no se concibe sinsu pilar básico “la familia”.
AB Since the legalization of gambling in Spain in 1977, there are many voices that attest that gambling hasbecome a serious problem affecting increasingly more and more people. This PhD Thesis presents a sociologicalperspective on the study and analysis of what is known as social addictions and particularly pathologicalgambling. To do this, we will establish first a conceptual framework from which we should understand the reasonfor the existence of this social pathology, referencing social context addictions. Futhermore, we have tried tostudy and analyze aspects which were insufficiently explored and analyzed as are the subject of family andcommunity associations and the relationship established between both, since the genesis and development ofpartnerships around this topic is inconceivable without families as social institutions and main part of anytherapeutical process
