AB Durante la intervenciónfrancesa en Españade los CienMilHijos de San Luís(1823), el duquede Angulema dicta el Decreto deAndújar para atajar la políticaderepresiónde las autoridadesprovisionales españolas. Este actounilateral choca con la idea de“competencia”esgrimida por lasautoridades españolasy con la de“alianza”aducida por las potenciasdel Este.Es el momento más críticode la intervención: estaba en juegono sólo la liberación de FernandoVII, sino la tutela del régimenpolítico español.Este breve artículotrata desituarel Decreto de Andújardentrode los tensos equilibriosgeopolíticos que caracterizan laEuropa post-napoleónica,lo que nos va a permitirademássuperardosinerciashistoriográficas: una,quehasta ahorael Decreto no hasido citadocomo fuente primaria;yotra,quesignificó algomás queungesto humanitario: fueunerrorde laestrategia política francesa.
AB During theFrenchinterventionin Spainof the Onehundred One thousand Children ofSaint Louis(1823),the duke ofAngulema dictates the Decree ofAndújar to cut across the politics of repression of the Spanishprovisional authorities.Thisunilateral act bumps with the idea of“domain” adduced by the Spanishauthorities and with the one of“alliance” by the east powers. It isthe most critical moment of theintervention: it was at stakenotonlythe release of Fernando VII, but theinfluenceof the politicalregimeSpanish.This briefarticle treats tosituate the Decree of Andújar insidethe taut geopolitical balances thatcharacterise the Europe post-Napoleonic, what goes us to allowbesides surpass two inertias of thehistoriography: one, that, up to now,the Decree has not been quoted likeprimary source; and another, thatmeant something more than ahumanitarian gesture: it was anerror of the French political strategy.
