AB El objetivo de este trabajo es revisar formalmente la litoestratigrafía delGrupo Lena (Pensilvaniense) en el sector Piedrafita-Lillo (Cuenca CarboníferaCentral, Zona Cantábrica, NE León), describiendo nuevos hipoestratotipospara las Formaciones Fresnedo (Bashkiriense), Levinco (Vereyense/Kashiriense),Llanón (Kashiriense) y Tendeyón (Kashiriense/Podolskiense). Estasunidades se depositaron en una cuenca de antepaís y están formadas fundamentalmentepor alternancias de terrígenos (sedimentos de plataforma siliciclástica/prodelta y del frente deltaico), y calizas marinas someras
AB The aim of this paper is to formally review the lithostratigraphy of thePennsylvanian Lena Group in the Piedrafita-Lillo sector (Central AsturianCoalfield, Cantabrian Zone, NE León), providing new hypostratotypes forthe Fresnedo Formation (Bashkirian), Levinco Formation (Vereian/Kashirian),Llanón Formation (Kashirian) and Tendeyón Formation (Kashirian/Podolskian).These lithostratigraphic units were deposited in a foreland settingand are dominated by siliciclastics (prodelta/shelf and delta-front sediments)and shallow-water marine carbonates
