AB La cultura participativa en el entorno online haexpandido las oportunidades de la ciudadanía enmateria de aprendizaje y empoderamiento. Eneste contexto, se disponen nuevos medios socialespara la ruptura de las relaciones tradicionales,donde se establecen protocolos de interaccióndigital, así como desbordamientos de los códigoséticos preestablecidos. El presente estudio tienecomo propósito indagar en la construccióndel concepto del fanbullying como la relaciónperniciosa entre fans y actores a través de lasredes sociales. Para ello, desarrollamos unarevisión de literatura, ampliando el espectro delos excesos ciudadanos en la era digital por mediodel acoso, ciberacoso y el discurso del odio, y unanálisis de casos mediáticos de las series Por trecerazones, Juego de Tronos y The Walking Dead. Losresultados descubren el uso desproporcionadode estas plataformas por parte de la comunidadfan, donde los actores se ven expuestos comofigura pública a burlas, humillaciones y amenazasconstantes. Por lo que, más allá de las relacionespersonales adyacentes y el entorno puramenteescolar, concluimos que en los entornos digitalesse están gestando nuevas prácticas de fanbullyingdonde se difuminan los límites entre realidad yficción, resultando necesaria una intervencióneducativo-jurídica.
AB The participatory culture in the onlineenvironment has expanded citizenshipopportunities for learning and empowerment.In this context, new social media are availablefor the rupture of traditional relations, wheredigital interaction protocols are established, aswell as overflows of preestablished ethical codes.The purpose of this study is to investigate theconstruction of the concept of fanbullying as thepernicious relationship between fans and actorsthrough social media. To this end, we developeda literature review, broadening the spectrumof citizen excesses in the digital age throughbullying, cyber-bullying and hate speech, and ananalysis of media cases from the series 13 ReasonsWhy, Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead. Theresults discover the disproportionate use of theseplatforms by the fan community, where actors areexposed as public figures to constant mockery,humiliation and threats. Therefore, beyond theadjacent personal relationships and the purelyschool environment, we conclude that in digitalenvironments new practices of fanbullying arebeing developed where the boundaries betweenreality and fiction are blurring, resulting in theneed for an educational-juridical intervention.
