AB El presente artículo revisa algunas cuestiones relacionadas con la imagen social que las llamadas drogas sintéticas tienen en nuestra sociedad, se detiene en datos que definen los actuales consumos y las características de sus consumidores, propone elementos para entender el origen de esta situación. Posteriormente revisa la función de la institución educativa ante esta realidad, señala los marcos desde los que puede llevarse a cabo la intervención preventiva en el medio escolar y subraya el papel relevante que la inclusión de los medios de comunicación de masas en el aula tiene para esta tarea.
AB This article examines some questions related to the social image that the called synthetic drugs have on our society, it focuses on data that define the current consumptions and the characteristics of their consumers, and it suggests elements in order to understand the origin of this situation. Subsequently, it examines the function of the educational institute facing this reality, it points out the settings from which the precautionary intervention can be carried out in the school and emphasizes the important role that the inclusion of the mass media in the classroom has for this task.
