RT Journal Article T1 Dione di Prusa uomo religioso A1 Desideri, Paolo AB The religious interest is one of the most clearly identifiable aspects of the personalityof Dio of Prusa, one of the leading intellectuals of his age (late lº to early 2º centuryA.D.). Like his much better known contemporary, Plutarch, Dio strongly reaffirms theimportance of the traditional "Olympic" religion, both in the political life of the Greektowns of the Roman Empire, and in the personal experience of the man in the street, andin the more elaborate religiousness of philosophers. Of course, what we are confrontedwith is a completely new way of interpreting an old heritage.
