T1 Design of a multi-harmonic buncher for lince

AB Continuous beams delivered by the LINCE [1] ECR ionssource will be bunched by a multi-harmonic buncher in orderto be injected into an RFQ. Its numerical design is reportedalong with electric field maps and beam dynamics studiescarried out with the codes TRACK [2] and GPT [3]. Firstexperiments with multi-harmonic bunchers were carried outin 1970s at Argonne National Lab. (ANL) [4] and it is usedin the design of modern accelerator facilities e.g FRIB andSpiral 2.
