RT Conference Proceedings T1 Non-Linear and Unbalanced Three-Phase Load Static Compensation with Asymmetrical and Non Sinusoidal Supply A1 Sánchez Herrera, María Reyes A1 Salmerón Revuelta, Patricio AB P-q theory has been widely used to control activepower filters since its formulation in 1983. The compensationstrategy used by the p-q theory users has not sufferedmodification; so it is used the constant power compensationstrategy. In this way, the supply instantaneous power aftercompensation is constant. This kind of compensation strategyhas obtained good results in the case of balanced and sinusoidalvoltages, however it has not been appropriate in the case ofunbalanced or non sinusoidal voltages. In this paper it has beenresearched about the modifications necessary, into the p-qtheory frame, to get control strategies which allow to attack theunit power factor compensation or the balanced and sinusoidalcurrents compensation.
