A1 Nozal, F. A1 Valle, R. del AB The Geology around the Esperanza Station (Argentina) at the southern coast of Hope Bay/Bahía Esperanza(63°23´S, 57°00´O) was maped during the 2004 and 2005 austral summer. Fifteen new geological unitswere identified and mapped within: Hope Bay Formation (Trinity Peninsula Group), Mount Flora Formation(Botany Bay Group) and Kenney Glacier Formation (Antarctic Peninsula Volcanic Group). Six diferent typesof surfacial deposits were also distinguised. Important geoscientific contributions of the survey are, amongothers, the identification of normal faults that cut the upper groups (Botany Bay and Antarctic PeninsulaGroups), and the discovery of new fossiliferous exposures of Mount Flora Formation, located 1.5 kmnorth-eastward the Mount Flora, on the downthrown blocks of the normal faults PB Sociedad Geológica de España YR 2005 FD 2005 LK http://hdl.handle.net/10272/8719 UL http://hdl.handle.net/10272/8719 LA spa DS Repositorio Institucional de la Universidad de Huelva RD 30 may 2026
